Shallow dome

July 11th, 2016

From this angle it is difficult to see, but this is in fact a dome, not a flat lens.

It has a shallow rise, due to the chandelier support behind it.

We can’t wait to see what it will look like when the moldings have been put up and the chandelier installed.

The Horse in the Wheel

June 23rd, 2016

This Horse in the Wheel is an art project that my associate Libor and I worked on together.

The horse is cast of multiple layers of glass and fused together in a kiln, while the ring is made of polished steel.

The whole thing sits upon some simple wheels that allow for the horse to move.

The design is based on this toy from the early 20th century
