A very detailed Leaded Glass Centre for a Leaded Glass Dome.

Tiffany built his unforgettable lampshades on curved forms as we do today, only on a larger scale. Our wood forms are much larger and made by hand to match the radius of each dome frame. In the tradition of lead caming, all pieces are cut by hand, wrapped with lead and then soldered together.

The 22′dia dome is complete! To celebrate we had lunch under it. Bill the bestest boss in the world, brought in pulled pork sandwiches and pie for all. It was magical to sit under the dome and admire all the fine handwork up close. If you have ever spent any time in a crystal palace, I imagine it would feel like this, all shimmery and sparkly. I can’t wait to see it fully installed but we will all have to wait until February in the meantime this lovely lady gets packed away until then.
Menu: Devil’d eggs, lasagne, tossed salad with home made tangy dressing, and garlic bread. Followed by home baked apple crisp topped with a rich double cream vanilla ice cream. Recipes were swapped after this feast!
Specials: Robin won for best Halloween themed element, can you spot it?
