This Racetrack Oval Dome with a Flat Skirt surround demonstrates a way to create a soft radius in a hard lined opening. The design is an interesting combination of geometric repetition and restrained decorative flare emphasised on four compass points with delicate serpentine tendrils.
This ceiling is classical in nature based on simple repetition elegantly expressed with contemporary glass textures. Add to that bevelled squares for a visual pop and the ceiling goes from plain to spectacular.
In addition to our typical metal framework a secondary decorative frame was made from stacked MDF filled and painted to match the clients existing trim work.
