Inspiration, where does it come from?

Bill is always bringing inspiration into the studio, in mysterious trunks or bound in blankets.  To illustrate some of those treasures after a Saturday tinkering… Old clock cases become fascinating shadow boxes, of wonder.

We are currently working on this oval dome. It is a unique adaptation of the Reid Avenue and Calloway Court domes, for pattern and frame style.

The frame has been made, the radius rolled and all components welded together. Its is now ready for templateing. The pattern is drawn by hand directly on cardboard forms fit into the openings of the frame. These will be transferred by hand and reversed to each section.

A New Year brings New Projects!

We have just begun work on our largest residential dome to date, 22′ in diameter! The studio is in a bit of a shuffle as we clear  floor space. I bet our lunch room may have to move inside of the dome. We’ll have our very own crystal palace for awhile!
